Hard work pays off |
Frenchman Serge Haroche and American David Wineland won The Nobel Prize 2012 in Physics for work on quantum particles. Researchers work day in and day out to figure out how we "normal humans" can do various things faster, better and stronger. Quantum physics, or quantum theory basically explains how to calculate future outcomes involving biological and physical systems. Its more to it than that, but thats the easy "average human" needs to know to begin with. These guys found a way to build quantum computers in a way by using mathematics, and the result of it is creating fast computers and the ability to store much more data than we can today.
