NBA and its 90seconds rule 2012
N.B.A. has had enough of basketball games not starting on time.
Many of you might not know that the teams and players have "technically" 90 seconds to start the game after introductions. But as we see on almost every game that's being played, nobody cares about that "rule".
Now, things are changing starting of this season. There will be sanctions in case the rule isn't followed. After introductions, each team will have 90 seconds to huddle or do whatever they like before reporting for tip off. If they aren't able to do so, they'll face a delay-game warning and two delay-game warnings will result a technical foul. Really??? YES, not that a technical foul changes a lot, but its about starting the game on time.
I'm pretty sure that fans don't mind watching their teams and players for more than 90 seconds before tip-off. So this rule........yeah I don't know!
Sorry to say but players may not be able to do their handshakes, little chitchat or whatnot anymore. According to New York Times Kevin Durant said "Every player in this league has routines they do with their teammates. The fans enjoy it. To cut that down really don’t make no sense."
Is this the N.B.A. trying to get more control over the games and their players in every way possible? Or they just didn't had anything to do, and said "hey, we cant have another lockout, but is there anything else we can do to piss off the players"
LeBron James pre-game Power Tossing, hmmm he might not be able to enjoy it all the way. Toss-2seconds-spread the arms-OKAY LETSGO .... "did I make it", Spoelstra "you were close, 1second next time okay."
D Wade pre game pull-ups at the rim.....minimize it to 4 if he's fast... Spoelstra "1, 2, (3seconds left, WADE ITS ENOUGH), 4" OH he made it. "Next time 3 alright."
Superman, I guess he just has to fly in right away. No time for Lois Lane & all that!
Lame!!!!
