Not only were the athletes who won in tears but their fans as well.
An amazing night for team GB. A increable night, a historic night. Never before had they won three won GOLD medals in a Olympic game. Never ever before had a British athlete won the 10,000m. Records were broken and new one were set. Its not everyday you get the Olympics in front of your home crowd, in front of your country. Each and every athlete of part of the Great Britain Team received the warmest support from the audience. At the track stadium, swimming and every where else. BUT team GB won three gold medals on one single night.
Jessica ENNIS. The golden girl. Every billboard around the UK includes her. Everyone expected her to win. Everyone knows her name and face, both athletes and supporters. The heptathlon athlete, the one and only Jessican Ennis who had been going through a lot since Beijing 2008, competed at her best from the get go. She produce times and length to get ahead of the rest of the field. For each event she won getting closer and closer to the gold. Still she kept her composure. Keeping one goal in mind (THE GODL MEDAL), she broke the British Record in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 12.54s. Thats just WOW WOW. As she stepped to the track, everyone stood up and gave her the welcome any athlete wish to have. SHE WON THE GOLD AND BROKE THE BRITISH RECORD. She cried, she couldn't believe it, and she is so thankful for the people who have supported her from day one. Cry girl....you're more than allowed to do that.

Former Record Holder Denise Lewis sharing tears of joy |
Mo FARAH. Pressure since he won the World Championships, European Championship, broke the British Record, beaten every single great athlete in this century. He knew he could do it, the training was going well and was ready to get it. No man from United Kingdom has ever won a Gold medal in the Olympics, so tonight was it up to Mo Farah to break that line and make history. With no further saying, HE DID......HE WOOOOOOOON THE GOLD MEDAL. THE FIRST BRITISH GOLD MEDAL IN THE MEN 10,000M. AND HE GOT TO DO IT IN FRONT OF HIS HOME CROWD IN LONDON. In addition to that, his training partner from United States, Galen Rupp got the Silver Medal. Isn't that just amazing. Tears in his eyes, he can't believe it.

Greg Rutherford. WoW.......this guy almost quit athletics after Beijing 2008. Hopefully, luckily for the GB Team he didn't. With a jump of 8.31m, he was a clear winner. HE BROUGHT THE GOLD MEDAL HOME....WAIIIIIT...THE GOLD WAS ALREADY HERE, HE JUST HAD TO WIN IT. AND HE DID. Great great great......

# 1 in the WORLD AND HAPPY LIKE NEVER BEFORE. |
Amazing night, emotional night and a historic night that nobody in the United Kingdom soil will ever forget. Not only will the 80,000 people who were at the stadium say they were there that night, but over millions of people who were watching from their living room will tell you they say Jessica, Mo and Greg make history Saturday 4th of August 2012.
What a night to be in London.......
Stay tuned, more to come.
- Stay in Shape
