These days if you look around at the different electronic devices that people own, you see Apple products everywhere. The iPhone is outselling every other phone on the market. Some people argue that Android phones outsell the iPhone but we're not talking about which operating system is selling more, we're talking about which individual phone is selling more. There isn not one single phone that is selling close to as much as the iPhone right now. The iPad is the best selling tablet and has apps that are made exclusively for it. The Macbook is lightyears ahead of all other laptops in its class, and not to mention the iMac performs better than most desktops. I don't know about you but I don't know many people that own an Mp3 player that's not an iPod. The late Steve Jobs and his crew have put their innovative ideas into motion and set a benchmark for all other companies to follow.
Apple products are very fun fun to play with but that's not the only benefit of their success. Up until Apple's rise to prominence, foreign tech companies were dominating the industry. Let's take a look back to the beginning of the millennium and look at the brands that were popular as far as electronic devices are concerned. Nokia (Finland), Samsung (Korea), Motorola (USA), and Sony Ericsson (UK) were the elite brands in America. As you can see Americans were favoring the foreign brands which is also the case with cars. Along came Apple to save the day. The California based company released the iPhone in 2007, and even though it wasn't the first smartphone it mastered the idea behind smart phones. The Apple iOS operating system is full of technology a lot of other operating systems can only dream about. The iPhone was the first to introduce the front facing camera for video chatting purposes. Apple linked up with Nuance which is the company that made dragon dictation software to create Siri. Siri puts the voice recognition of all other phones to shame. The hardware in Apple's computers have such a complex encryption that it is virtually immune to viruses.
Regardless of how you want to compare other products to Apple products, the story ends with Apple just being plain better. Apple being number 1 means that Americans can feel like the country is number 1 in something. The Germans, Japanese, and Italians have clearly won the automobile contest but electronics are still up for debate. There is nothing severely wrong with other products and it is not a dire need for us to go buy Apple products but.........in America the mentality is that you should accept nothing but the best, and Apple is the best.
