13 points, can he make it in the next game before half time?
Kobe said "Thats a lot of points" and then laughed about it.
Kobe's to-do-list:
4. Wilt Chamberlain: 31,419 - Possible
3. Michael Jordan: 32,292 - Possible
2. Karl Malone: 36,928 - TBA
1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: 38,387 - I don't know
According to rotoworld.com Kobe scored 1,616 point in the 2011-2012 season, if he continues to play and score the same way, there might be a chance for him to surpass Wilt Chamberlain this season and take 4th place All Time.
Can he take Kareem Abdul-Jabbar record?
Lets say he scores 1600 points a year on average, maybe more maybe less but lets use that as a number.
1year : 1600
2 years: 3200
3 years: 4800
4 years: 6400
5 years?????
Add up:
30,000 (from next game on) + 6400 = 36,400. Places him 3rd place. Only 328point behind Karl Malone at that time but 1,987points away from Kareem IF he plays 4 more years.
Can he? Will he? Should he physically? etc etc....We'll see.
Tune in tonight when they play New Orleans and you can say "I saw when Kobe scored 30,000points"
Stay in Shape
Update:
He scored 29point and became the youngest basketball player to reach the 30,000points milestone. Now he's in a good company with Karl, MJ and Kareem. 30,016 is Kobe's new number TILL next game tips off.
